Gianfranco was rushed to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital at birth where he spent 90 days in the Intensive Care Unit.  He was diagnosed with a minor stroke and vocal cord paralysis. He has been seen at CHOA since then and continues his care at Children's Hospital Advanced Pediatric Center under the care of Dr. Popler in the Pulmonology Clinic. He has been a patient for 8 years.
